The Nike Blazer is a basketball sneaker first made in 1973 and first worn by George "The Iceman" Gervin. However, it is no longer as a basketball sneaker, however, but is often used as a casual sneaker. More recently, following the launch of Nike Skateboarding, the Blazer was modified with extra padding so it could be sold as skateboarding shoes. Nike Blazers come in high- and low-tops.
